Dez anos depois da primeira edição, os Crunchyroll Anime Awards regressam a Tóquio para uma cerimónia que se promete maior do que nunca. A lista de nomeados foi divulgada a 2 de abril, abrangendo 32 categorias e cerca de 50 séries e filmes diferentes. Os fãs podem votar todos os dias até 23h59 (hora de Lisboa) de 15 de abril no site oficial dos Anime Awards, na Crunchyroll.
A cerimónia está marcada para 23 de maio, com transmissão global em direto. A apresentação fica novamente a cargo de Sally Amaki e Jon Kabira.
DanDaDan lidera as nomeações
DanD Dan Season 2 encabeça a lista com 20 nomeações no total, seguida de The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 com 17 e Gachiakuta com 16. My Hero Academia Final Season acumulou 15 nomeações, enquanto The Summer Hikaru Died e Takopi’s Original Sin recolheram oito e sete, respetivamente.
No campo dos filmes, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc lidera com 13 nomeações, incluindo duas na categoria de Melhor Música de Anime pelos temas “Iris Out” e “Jane Doe”, ambos compostos por Kenshi Yonezu, o segundo em colaboração com Hikaru Utada. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, que arrecadou mais de 737 milhões de dólares nas bilheteiras mundiais, recolheu oito nomeações.

A cerimónia e o espetáculo ao vivo
Para além dos prémios, a edição deste ano inclui atuações musicais de Dean Fujioka, Porno Graffitti, Asian Kung-Fu Generation e YOASOBI. Yoko Takahashi, conhecida pela abertura de Neon Genesis Evangelion, apresentará uma homenagem ao 30.º aniversário da série acompanhada pela Orquestra Filarmónica de Tóquio.
A lista de apresentadores inclui nomes como RZA, Winston Duke, Rashmika Mandanna, Asuka Saitō e a cosplayer Enako. Rahul Purini, presidente da Crunchyroll, afirmou sobre a edição: “À medida que celebramos o 10.º aniversário dos Anime Awards, expressamos também a nossa gratidão aos nomeados da última década, que incluem mais de 110 estúdios de animação que produziram perto de 290 séries e filmes únicos, e mais de 220 atores de voz que contribuíram com o seu talento para personagens amadas”.
