Seguindo as pisadas do ano passado a edição de 2016 dos Eisner Awards 2016 foi ganha pelo manga Showa 1953-1989: A History of Japan (Volume 4 of Showa: A History of Showa Japan) derrotando assim Assassination Classroom (Ansatsu Kyoshitsu), A Bride’s Story, Master Keaton, Koe no Katachi (A Silent Voice) e Sunny.
Já venceram este prémio para a melhor edição U.S. de material internacional (Asia award) as obras: Showa 1944-1953: A History of Japan (2015), The Mysterious Underground Men (2014), 20th Century Boys (2013), Onward Towards Our Noble Deaths (2012), 20th Century Boys (2011), Dororo (2009), Tekkonkinkreet (2008) e Old Boy (2007).
